Fees for these services are set by the State of Texas and are outlined in the table below.
In addition, we charge document fees and travel “mobile” fees which are neither specified nor required by law. Please refer to schedule below and call us for a quote.
The travel fees, which we sometimes refer to as “mobile” fees, is a charge that is separate from the notarial fees which are set forth by the State. By using Mansfield Mobile Notary Public services, the notary and signer(s) agree beforehand on the amount to be charged for services.
Our standard mobile fees are based on round-trip distance from our address to the service location that you provide us, the time of day and the day of the week. For example: If you require our services during our normal business hours (Monday thru Friday, 9 am – 6 pm), at a location that is 5 miles from our address, the round-trip mobile charge will be for 10 miles x the mobile fee. If you require service outside our normal business hours, on the weekend, or a holiday, these fees change as per the schedule below. In certain circumstances we will also charge for tolls and parking where applicable.
We will confirm all appointments the same day they are made and will discuss fees and payment at this time.
Acceptable forms of payment include exact cash and all major credit cards. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. Escrow or loan cancellations have no bearing on the payment of fees.
Tex. Gov’t. Code Ann. § 406.024 sets out the maximum fees a Notary Public, or their employer, may charge for notary public services.
